This is some truly visceral stuff. It's Johnny Lewis on the recent iteration of the Lloyd Brothers Ducati AFT Twin, at last September's Springfield Mile. Johnny came 11th in the 18-rider main, his first time on the Ducati that season, from a back row start, after coming 8th in his semi.
We've featured the Lloyd Brothers Ducati in Sideburn 22 (when Troy Bayliss and Johnny rode it) and also one of the very first versions, right back in Sideburn 4.
It sounds like Lloyd Brothers are trying to race the whole AFT Twins series in 2018. Stevie Bonsey has been testing it, racing it in Savannah, GA last weekend. He got the holeshot, against a strong field, but chose the wrong Dunlop tyre compound and went backwards during the race. We'll keep you posted.
