Warm, Fuzzy Memory

Reminiscing post from Dave Skooter Farm

Woke up to a warm and fuzzy memory. Over the years we did a bunch of wild DIrt Quake events both here in the UK and also the USA. It was ALWAYS guaranteed fun times but this particular one (DQ III, 2014) sticks in my mind as alongside organisational duties, I actually found time to race in the Chopper class.

My bike, a 1979 Suzuki GS750 'Pig-Dog' lived up to it's name and only ran on 2 of the 4 cylinders throughout all my heat races but magically rectified itself half way through the final, allowing me to get on the podium in 3rd place behind Dimitri Coste and Guy Martin respectively.

They say 'Never say never' but I think the excitement and raw enthusiasm attached to those original DQ events won't ever be witnessed again. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard as I did at Dirt Quake.
