Ted Ellis wrote a feature about the Barbara Fritchie Classic for Sideburn 41 and now he's released a back about the historic race. Here's what he says about it.

Just in time for your 2021 travel plans, 100 Years of Flat Track Racing has recently been released. The first 50 numbered & signed copies are on sale now at Fredericktown Yamaha & Triumph. For the rest of the world there is Amazon.

This 'oldest continuing race' turns out to be even older than was thought. Surprising to many, 2021's 100th anniversary only marks the centennial of this particular series. Motorcycle racing in Frederick, Maryland, turns out to be much older than that. The legends of the motordromes made spending money running the hundreds of fairground dirt tracks across North America. Frederick is one of the last few places you can race, or watch a race on the same track that was contested by the legends of the sport from the first decade of the 20th century to the present. The price is ridiculously low for a 400-page book with over 380 illustrations. However, we want you to know this history. To know and appreciate this race, and this sport, that it epitomizes.

The Barbara Fritchie Classic on the 4th of July. There's nowhere else to be!

This book sounds incredible! Learning that the Barbara Fritchie Classic has such a deep and rich history is fascinating. The fact that you can still race on the same track as the early legends is mind-blowing. Before buying new book, I always check Abebooks https://abebooks.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html for good deals. Sometimes you can find real gems. I'm definitely adding this book to my reading list.
