Another day, another announcement of a privateer signing up to ride an Indian FTR750 for the 2018 AFT season. This time it's the tough as nails, highly experienced Robbie Pearson #27.
Pearson will ride for RJ Performance of Ottumwa, IA. I've lost count of how many private FTR750s are going to be out there when the season opens in Daytona in 21 days time, but it's going to be exciting. They'll all be chasing a lot of contingency $$$.
Gary Gray, Vice President – Racing, Service & Technology for Indian Motorcycle said, 'It’s pretty amazing that you can go out to an Indian Motorcycle dealer, buy an FTR750, and put it on the podium as Johnny Lewis did last season.'
He's referring to Johnny's amazing ride to third at the Lone Star Half-Mile on a bike he'd never ridden before (read the story in Sideburn 31). Ironically, Johnny has been signed to ride a Kawasaki Twin at selected races for RMR.
