Inspiration: Picasso Bug

This creature, the Picasso bug, landed in my consciousness last week. Also known as the Zulu Hud bug, it's a type of shield-backed bug, and a native of sub-tropical Africa, that grows to a maximum length of 8mm (0.31in). I'm posting it, because its shield would make a great paintjob. In fact, it reminded me of a bike we had in Sideburn 15, Stacie B London's Bultaco Sherpa short tracker.

So, who is getting a Picasso big petrol tank first?

Cool. The bike & the bug! He (the bug) has a distant cousin that's invaded America in recent years and caused quite a stink... literally. The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug has been a real nuisance. In a bit of reverse inspiration a local band "Hucklebuck" put the Calvert coat of arms on him (from the official Maryland state seal) and made him their mascot. https://www.facebook.com/hucklebuckmusic/videos/478220729509479/

Hi Ted, I was just reading about the Stink bug today. We've just got them in Britain. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/mar/01/uk-scientists-confirm-arrival-of-brown-marmorated-stink-bugs GI
