AFT has shaken up the schedule for 2021, adding rarely or never visited venues. We covered the return to Castle Rock, and the huge part See See Motorcycles' are playing in this recent post. Another returning venue is the I-70 Half-Mile in Odessa, Missouri, AFT's first race in the state since 2005. A track that is completely new to me is the Cedar Lake Short Track. It's in Wisconsin, but very close to the Minnesota border and Minneapolis.
Despite Wisconsin being the home to Harley-Davidson, S&S Cycle (who run the official Indian team), and being one of America's great flat track heartlands, the state hasn't hosted an AFT/GNC race since 2003, nearly 20 years.
Cedar Lake (pictured above) is short track, with a published length of 0.375 mile - 3/8ths of a mile. That translates as 600 metres for the Euros out there. The track's website describes it as a high-banked clay oval.
