Sideburn Deputy Editor, Mick P says...
We know that the world of Sideburn is teeming with wit and wisdom and we want to read more of it. You’re not a shy bunch, but since we moved over to this blog platform we don’t hear as much from you as we used to. Maybe one reason is that the process for leaving comments isn’t as clear as it might be, so here’s a quick run through.
Yes, you need to sign up, but it’s quick. Where to sign up is the glitch. If you come to the blog on a computer, you’ll see all the recent posts in full, stacked one above the other. There’s no obvious way to leave a comment and you won’t see a prompt unless you click on the title of any one of the stories (you do this automatically on your phone, because you can’t see the whole story). Once you do, you’ll see an option to log in/sign up both at the top right of the screen and at the very bottom (just at the bottom on a phone).
To sign up, just use an email address and create a password. That’s it. No confirmation emails, no form filling, and you can comment immediately. Not only that, but you’ll get an email each time there’s a new blog post. If you don’t like the emails, you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the email itself.
Done. Looking forward to that wit and wisdom.

Excellent. Thanks for the teach in.
Only ever read the blog on the 'putor.
Holy cow, sometimes computers make me feel as competent as a fisherman using only my hands and not one of those graceful southern redneck belle catfish noodlers. I signed up months ago and still didn't know there were any comments on this new sight. Now that I have been educated I feel like I have a bunch of catching up to do but catching anything, fish or otherwise has never been a talent of mine.
This is the most useful and informative blog post I've read anywhere today. MP, Rome, Italy
