A familiar name left a comment on Sideburn's rarely used YouTube.


'Looks BaddAss Bub' wrote Fred Merkel on the video below. You know, Flyin' Fred Merkel, the first ever World SuperBike champion (that's him in the middle, between Marco 'Lucky' Lucchinelli and joey Dunlop).

It sent us on a hunt for some Merkel footage, and we found this, from the first ever World Superbike race at Donington. Some big names in this race, and a Bimota won...
